About this role

We are looking for a director/senior director within our marketing function at SmithRx who will be responsible for building the lifecycle and customer marketing functions for our rapidly growing organization. This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of the marketing team at a company with demonstrated growth velocity.

The core objective of this role is to improve and optimize our customer journey to increase revenue and retention. You will be responsible for building this function from the ground up. This includes making the necessary technology and platform investments needed to support the team’s work, identifying and executing campaigns or programs that drive deeper engagement with our customers, measuring the impact to our productivity, revenue, and customer experiences.  

The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work closely with sales partners to understand and identify opportunities, deeply understand prospects and customers and what drives their decision making, and be able to make relevant recommendations about content generation and distribution that will drive our business forward. You must be comfortable operating in an unstructured environment and learning as you experiment.

In this role, you will

  • Develop a comprehensive lifecycle marketing strategy optimized to hit business performance goals
  • Identify target audiences and specific parts of the customer journey to improve with data-driven marketing campaigns
  • Create engagement programs across channels such as: email, social media, web, events, newsletters, webinars, and blog posts (among others)
  • Experiment with new channels and identify new approaches to existing channels that have not been explored previously by learning about our client audience
  • Collaborate internally (and with partners) to develop and distribute compelling content that resonates with our clients and speaks to SmithRx's unique value proposition
  • Analyze data, set KPIs, and report on results including campaign performance and spend while having the ability to rapidly iterate
  • Work closely with sales to optimize lead management and handoff 
  • Be a strategic partner to all stakeholders including peers across the sales and marketing
  • Consistently improve SmithRx's processes and playbooks
  • Help to build and operate our marketing technology stack 
  • Hire and grow a team to support the growing needs of the business

About you 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years of experience in lifecycle, customer, email or demand generation marketing for B2B technology companies. Saas B2B experience highly desired
  • 3-5 years of experience leading high-performing marketing teams
  • 8+ years in demand generation or top-of-funnel lead generation for B2B technology companies. Saas B2B experience highly desired
  • Experience developing and executing digital campaigns
  • Maturity to succeed in a fast-moving, fluid environment as one of the first marketing team members at SmithRx
  • Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities with the ability to track campaign performance and spend
  • Working knowledge of the following technologies and software: Salesforce, Hubspot, Pardot, Outreach
  • San Francisco Bay Area,  Salt Lake City or Dallas based candidates preferred.
