Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Network Analyst role manages the compilation, analysis, and reporting of data for pricing contracts for PBM services and other pharmacy business units. They support the development of reimbursement strategy, execution of network pricing, and perform pharmacy analytics reporting and modeling that fall under the Maximum Allowable Cost (MAC) Management umbrella. Develops capabilities specifically targeted to achieve the efficient and effective application of the company’s products and services toward the achievement of total cost savings and improved health outcomes for the company’s clients and their members.  Work cross-functionally with members of the pricing team, finance, clinical and other groups along with Sales/Account Management to employ strategy around setting market pricing while meeting financial objectives. Utilize SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools to aid in performance quantitative and qualitative analysis, financial modeling, and economic forecasting.

  • Research and monitor competitors and industry trends.
  • Streamline processes and models to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Proactive identification and closure of network gaps as well as development of performance reports
  • Execute and implement dynamic pricing strategies in response to market fluctuations to provide competitive, profitable, and best of class pricing offerings
  • Assist in presenting pricing model and strategy to senior leadership.
  • Assist in development of business, industry, competitive, client, and technical knowledge to formulate pricing strategy, and to execute financial modeling of comprehensive pricing strategies
  • Communicate a range of pricing scenarios/options to internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to read/write queries and establish workflows in order to offer and implement continued automation and improvement
  • Lead the development of financial analytic pricing methodologies, models, reports and new products to drive and influence business decisions and outcomes
  • Desire to excel in data analytics, pricing, process automation, pricing and healthcare financials
  • Support functional & organizational initiatives as required.
  • Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

What will you bring to SmithRx:

  • Extensive PBM industry knowledge and deep understanding of the financial levers of a PBM
  • 5+ years of experience in PBM, claims processing, healthcare and/or related field
  • Knowledge of pricing inputs and services (plan design, prescription history, retail pharmacy network models, rebate assumptions, specialty, mail pharmacy, brand/generic and more) for contracted PBM services across multiple pricing methodologies
  • 3+ years of experience using Tableau, SQL, EDW or SAS technologies
  • Ability to establish and maintain rapport and effectively communicate at all levels within the organization
  • Expert influencing skills to drive change and adoption of new analytic capabilities
